RULES
1. Anglers may launch from anywhere but must be present for safety check and Cannon Blast take-off at safe light in front of Jim’s Pier.
2. Only redfish within the legal slot of 20” to 28” will be eligible for the Spot Tournament, over or undersized fish will lead to disqualification of participant.
3. No oversized redfish, no flounder under 16”, and no trout under 17" or over 23".
4. Weigh-in will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. June 1, 2024 Participants must be in sight of the dockmaster in the small boat channel in front of Jim’s Pier by 3:00 P.M. to avoid being disqualified.
5. Weigh master and tournament directors will have the final say in all decisions.
6. Must have a valid Texas Fishing License. (per state laws)
7. All boats must meet U.S.C.G. and Marine Patrol safety equipment requirements.
8. All anglers must obey all local and federal rules and regulations.
9. Anglers must use hook and line. (Artificial lures or live bait allowed)
10. Legal slot redfish with the most spots WINS! (Spots that connect will only be counted as one spot) Ties will be broken by weight, the heaviest fish wins.
11. All anglers are subject to a polygraph test at the Tournament Directors' discretion. If a polygraph is required, it must be passed. An inconclusive result is considered a failure.
12. All fish must be caught on JUNE 1, 2024 between cannon blast and 3:00 PM.
13. Anglers must fish from a Dargel, Explorer, BayMaster, or BayQuest Boat. Everyone on the boat must be a registered angler.
14. Kids and Junior division entrants will be eligible for separate prizes. NOT Adult division prizes.
15. One fish per angler for the spot tournament. Ties will be determined by weight and then time turned in.
16. Tournament Directors and weigh master have the final say on any catch dispute that may arise.
17. ALL disputes must be filed on the day of the tournament by 3:00 p.m.
18. This is a public event and there will be pictures and/or video taken. When you enter this event you release all rights to any pictures/video taken at the event.
19. Dargel Boats, Inc., Jim’s Pier, SPI CC, or any agent of, will not be held liable for any negligence, injury, or unlawful activity that takes place during the event by any participant.
20. Tournament Directors reserve the right to limit the number of participants and to refuse entry to any individual for any reason.
21. All live fish weighed in will be released and dead fish weighed in will be returned to the angler
